Ross Votes to Fund Troops
Washington,
Dec 20, 2012 -
U.S. Congressman Dennis Ross (FL-12) supported the Conference Report on H.R. 4310, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013. This bill provides funding for the military for the 2013 fiscal year.
“I am incredibly grateful for the service and sacrifice that our troops make on a daily basis,” said Ross. “I have seen from my visits to MacDill Air Force Base just how much is involved in ensuring our freedom. This bill will provide those brave men and women who serve our country with the resources they need, and I support it.”
Among many aspects, this bill:
-Includes a 1.7 percent pay increase for troops
-Prohibits the transfer of detainees from Guantanamo Bay to the United States
