Washington, Dec 28, 2012 - U.S. Congressman Dennis Ross (FL-12) issued the following statement regarding the sudden passing of Bill McBride. McBride served in the Marine Corps for four years, studied at the University of Florida Law School, and later joined the Holland & Knight law firm where he became Chairman. He is the husband of the former Chief Financial Officer of Florida, Alex Sink.

“My deepest sympathies go out to the whole McBride family. Bill worked his way up to become Chairman of Holland & Knight when I started there as a young lawyer. I also worked with Alex on risk management issues for the state of Florida during my last term serving in the state legislature. Cindy and I extend our condolences and prayers to Alex, their children, and the whole extended family during this incredibly difficult time.”
