“Cindy and I are deeply saddened by the news that my friend and Chairman, Dave Bitner, has died. Dave exemplified courage in the face of unspeakable odds and will forever serve as an example of grace under pressure. Dave was passionate in his beliefs, a friend to all who knew him and a humble and generous leader. I will be forever proud to call him my friend and never forget his legacy to our party, the State he called home and the nation he loved.
