U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross (FL-15) earned the “Taxpayers’ Friend Award” from the National Taxpayers Union. This award was recently given to 55 Members of Congress for their votes on tax and fiscal policy during 2012.

“The last thing that we need is for the government to take more of our money,” said Ross. “My neighbors from across the 15th District – from Lutz and Brandon to Plant City to Lakeland are urging me to vote to protect their money, and that’s what I’m doing.”

“As our nation continues to confront challenges to a strong economic recovery, fiscal discipline in Washington, DC has never been more important,” NTU President Duane Parde said. “Fortunately, residents of Florida’s 15th District could count on Ross, to whom National Taxpayers Union is proud to present a ‘Taxpayers’ Friend Award.’”
