Lakeland, FL -- U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross (R-FL-15), Senior Deputy Whip, today accepted the Spirit of Free Enterprise Award presented by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Ross was recognized for this award for his consistent support for pro-growth, pro-job legislation during the first session of the 113th Congress.
“I am honored to receive the Spirit of Free Enterprise Award,” said Ross. “As grateful as I am for the Chamber’s recognition, it is not the trophy that drives me to work toward pro-growth in our country. The people I know and continue to meet in my district, throughout Florida, and our country are the driving force behind creating a healthy economy. It is my commitment to them that fuels me to effectively pass legislation that creates jobs and lowers the unemployment rate.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce annually honors 206 members of the House of Representatives and 32 members of the Senate with its Spirit of Enterprise Award.
