WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan. 13, 2017 – U.S. Rep. Dennis A. Ross (FL-15), Senior Deputy Majority Whip, released the following statement after being appointed to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (OGR):
“I am excited to be back on the OGR Committee where I will continue the fight to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in our government. There are some fantastic, hardworking conservative members on this committee, including many from the Florida delegation, and I look forward to working with them to provide thorough oversight of our federal government. Americans work too hard to have their tax dollars wasted on those who are dishonest, negligent and fail to uphold our nation’s Constitution and values. The American People have put their trust in us, and we must ensure that trust remains bonded and unbroken. I look forward to working with my fellow committee members and the new administration to establish an open, transparent and efficient government that works for the people, not itself.”
This appointment is in addition to Rep. Ross’ current membership on the House Financial Services Committee.
