Rep. Dennis A. Ross Votes to Keep America Safe with Defense Appropriations Bill
Washington - In order to ensure that America is safe and our armed forces have what they need, U.S. Rep. Dennis A. Ross (R-FL-15), Senior Deputy Majority Whip, voted in favor of the Department of Defense Appropriations Act. The bill ensures that the U.S. is able to advance its interests around the globe, cares for warfighters and families, commits to a modern and well-trained military, and keeps our capabilities at the cutting edge.
“The Constitution and the very notion of our sovereign obligation demands we provide for a national defense, and today, the House has done its duty to send a bill to the Senate,” said Rep. Ross. “I urge my colleagues in the upper chamber to waste no time in getting that bill to the President to keep our nation safe.”
Senate Democrats have threatened to block the bill from becoming law.
